Visual Art is Alko’s New Partner for Digital In-Store Marketing
September 5, 2023
Visual Art announces its partnership with Alko, the Finnish government-owned organization that handles the sale of alcoholic beverages. Together, they will improve their in-store digital marketing strategies and better engage with customers. This collaboration marks a major achievement for both Visual Art and Alko, as they work to modernize their in-store media network.
In 2022, Alko initiated an extensive review of companies specializing in digital in-store marketing. This culminated in a Digital Signage tender, which saw the participation of 20 industry-leading operators. Crucial criteria for selection included the stability, ease of use, and versatility of the Digital Signage Software. Additionally, the chosen partner was required to demonstrate a seamless transition of the current media network and a proven track record in managing large-scale Digital Signage solutions. Visual Art Finland Oy and Fite Oy emerged victorious, showcasing their combined expertise and strengths in the field.
– Alko was looking for a unified solution and reliable digital signage software with advanced functions that work without an external media player. Our digital signage software could give them that solution, and we could also convert their 200 digital displays across 72 stores throughout Finland to our solution in four weeks, says Andreas Ström, Chief Revenue Officer, Visual Art Group.
– We are excited and happy about the new functional and versatile content management system. Visual Art’s Digital Signage Software Signage Player allowed us to utilize the existing store equipment. We got full control of the media network into our own hands. Adopting the functionalities of the Signage Player was easy and even fun, says Annakaisa Koskinen, Marketing Alko.
The seamless cooperation between Visual Art and Fite was a critical component of the success of this project.
By partnering with Visual Art and Fite, Alko has not only revitalized its digital in-store marketing but also enriched the overall customer experience. The collaboration has streamlined operations and defined clear roles – Visual Art is responsible for maintaining the Digital Signage media network and advancing the Signage Player software to support Alko’s marketing initiatives, while Fite takes charge of equipment maintenance, new display installations, and responsible recycling practices.
Alko’s customers will reap the benefits of this partnership, as the innovative Digital Signage solutions provided by Visual Art and Fite enhance the overall shopping experience, making it more engaging and efficient.
The agreement between Alko and Visual Art has a value of around EUR 150,000 per year.
